PARSIPPANY, N.J. – November 6th 2006 - RELDATA, pioneer of a new generation of universal IP storage virtualization appliances, today announced the new RELDATA IP Storage Gateway 9400 featuring the latest 4 Gbps Fibre Channel connectivity and a new version of its TrueBlock™ storage virtualization software platform. New highlights of the IP 9400 are dual 4 Gbps Fibre Channel ports, robust multi-path and failover, ability to seamlessly resize volumes and file systems on the fly, plus a dramatically improved throughput for I/O intensive storage environments.
The RELDATA IP Storage Gateway 9400 is the successor to the IP 9200 and builds upon its technical innovations. It provides universal IP SAN and NAS virtualization of the fastest Fibre Channel arrays and FC SANs. RELDATA’s new TrueBlock™ software platform lets users dynamically expand virtual volumes to meet the challenges of managing today’s unrelenting data growth. Its throughput improvements ensure applications can fully exploit the full potential of unifying IP and FC-based storage architectures. Included in RELDATA’s TrueBlock™ software platform are truly parallel iSCSI SAN and CIFS/NFS NAS access to shared storage resources and industry-leading block-level snapshot, incremental replication and remote mirroring capabilities for complete data protection and disaster recovery.
