Elesa CFSW combined hinge and electrical cut-off switch on TRAKRAP machine protection enclosure

Elesa CFSW combined hinge and electrical cut-off switch on TRAKRAP machine protection enclosure

The team at TRAKRAP produce low waste transit wrapping systems for food and related products. As long-term customers of Elesa for a wide variety of equipment components, they use standard hinges and handles in their machine protection enclosures. So it was fortuitous that visiting an Elesa exhibition stand, one of the TRAKRAP engineers came across their ingenious CFSW combined hinge and electrical cut-off switch for just this situation.

Alan Read – Head of Engineering at TRAKRAP – explained “we are constantly developing our machines – looking to ensure good cost-effective manufacture and especially to manage low maintenance costs – as our machine leasing programme incorporates a long-term maintenance plan. Finding the Elesa CFSW hinge-cut-off has helped simplify our machine guarding system by eliminating the need for a separate bracket and switch, and delivered a significant cost saving in both components and fitting times in the process.”

TRAKRAP are especially conscious of waste, recycling and use of resources in their FMCG packaging marketplace where they are constantly seeking to minimize use of packaging materials such as cardboard and plastic wrap for their transit packs. Also they seek to reduce handling time in assembling and breaking down of these packs, so that the individual cartons may be placed quickly on store shelves while providing good stability in palleting and transit.

TRAKRAP machines are often used in areas associated with regular wash-down cycles so the CFSW is highly suitable, offering IP67 dust and water protection.

The CFSW is double insulated and approved by IMQ CA02.04800 in compliance with EN 60947-1/2007 + EN 60947-5-1:2004 + A1/2009. Low voltage control auxiliaries. Approved by UL: E360222.l. It is available with different combinations of contacts with positive opening (2NO+2NC, 1NO+3NC etc.). These robust units are tested to a B10d value of 2,000,000, are totally tamper-proof, and may be quickly and easily installed. The CFSW integrated cut-off hinge provides a simple, reliable and elegant solution to this personnel or equipment safety issue.

Elesa angled handles inclined to make things easier for many industries
The new Elesa range of angled bridge handles provide a safe and ergonomic grip close to the edge of a door, ensuring safe and easy operation. Traditionally, bridge handles are used on sliding doors, access panels, drawers, and cases. The angled feature distances and translates forces at a more aligned angle, so reducing the perceived effort involved in closing sliding doors or lifting equipment. Elesa ESP, MSP and GN 430 angled
