A New Invention from Noztek: The Tolerance Puller

09-20-2018 09:32 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Noztek Ltd

One of the biggest developments in the 3D market to date - Noztek develops the first desktop tolerance pulling system. Enhancing the 3D filament manufacture process to this level has until now belonged exclusively to the industrial market; this is a breakthrough invention.
In a world of rapid innovation, efficiency is key. Faults in filament tolerance can hold up the extruding process and impact significantly on the end result of a print. Confronting this issue head on, the Noztek Tolerance Puller achieves consistent filament tolerances on every extrusion run between 0.04+/- and 0.05+/-.
Noztek is on a mission to make desktop 3D innovation and manufacture more efficient and more accessible. Extrusion systems are constantly being invented and developed in the Sussex Warehouse to offer the greatest quality control and reduce material waste – at prices to solve the barriers for pioneers of all circumstances. Noztek's products are always ready to use right out of the box and each of them exist to solve their own pain or problem faced by today's 3D innovators.
Noztek believe that tolerance should not be left to chance, we shouldn't be wasting precious time and materials with problems like printer jamming and quality inconsistencies. To battle this, over the past couple of years they have been working on an important piece of machinery which will fit right into the Noztek product family.
Designed from the ground up to tackle inaccurate and inconsistent tolerances, Users are able to determine the width of the filament, the speed at which it renders and the correction ratio. The system relies on tension to get smooth, reliable results, pulling the material from a larger nozzle on the extruder to a much smaller diameter in the puller ensures the tension is keeping the resulting tolerance consistent. The error correction control This set-up will save you time and cost, while causing significantly less material wastage.

'What's interesting, is how we often find ourselves designing our machines to enhance the end product, and it quickly reveals itself to be so impressive that it becomes an essential . Now that we have seen the results a Tolerance Puller can achieve, to be manufacturing filament without one now seems so wasteful and inefficient that it's somewhat madness.'

Supplied in 220V or 110V versions. Noztek's Tolerance Pullers are currently being built to order, they can usually be shipped one week from the date the order is placed.
Coming soon... How Noztek have prepared for simple and accessible small scale recycling

Since 2013, Noztek have been developing extrusion systems, making filament manufacture accessible for all. Based in Sussex and with a small but highly skilled team, The Noztek product collection now comprises 4 extremely capable extruders, Resin and Spool Dehydrator, Filament Winder and now a Tolerance Puller.
Noztek are currently developing additional components for the best small-scale recycling unit the world has seen!

People, in general, overgrow their desire to undertake certain risky sports or activities, such as hang-gliding, sailing, car-racing or even taking backpacking trips to exotic lands. Youth brings with it the adrenaline drive to risk life, limb and property; whereas age succumbs to the comfort and safety of less-challenging and more family-oriented diversions. Nevertheless, while majority of us improve our skills at evaluating risk as we mature, we somehow fail to
