Cypress Creek Helps Youth Overcome Chemical Dependency

“Teenagers are no longer just becoming addicted to alcohol or drugs. Many teenagers are becoming addicted to prescription medication or over-the-counter pain or cough medicine,” said Dr. Brian Brooker, chief executive officer of Cypress Creek Hospital. “Our chemical dependency program helps patients, with their family, achieve a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.”
The intensive outpatient program includes individual and group therapy, chemical dependency education, skills groups, and aftercare, as well as programs for patients who may have relapsed.
“Overcoming chemical dependency at any age can be very difficult and overwhelming,” said Brooker. “At Cypress Creek, we provide patients with a strong support system, tools and resources. We want patients to know that they are not alone on the road to recovery. We’re there for them every step of the way.”
