Acolens Receives Digit! Show Award "Photokina Star - Highlight

Cologne, Sept. 28, 2006: At this year's Photokina, the word's leading imaging fare, Acolens has received the award "Photokina Star - Highlight of Photokina 2006" from the two well known German photography journals "digit!" and "Photo Presse." The award was handed over personally at the company's booth by digit! editor in chief, Roland Franken.

"We award the Photokina Star during the fare to new products that are innovative and deserve the attention of our professional readers. Acolens corrects image deficiencies and effectively helps to fully exploit the potential of a lens," Roland Franken explained while handing over the award to Acolens chief developer, Sebastian W. Schroeder.

With Acolens Nurizon presents its first product for correction of image deficiencies, i.e. distortion, vignetting and focus falloff toward the edges. The software differs significantly from existing remedies in the market place:

- Acolens provides best correction results based on highly precise calibration methods
- Acolens corrects images based on objecitve criteria instead of manipulating them
- Acolens allows self-calibration of lenses
- Acolens supports shift lenses and other special hardware configurations
- Acolens is open to all popular RAW conversion tools

"Receiving an award so shortly after introducing our product at the Photokina gave us a great boost," says a thrilled Sebastian von Meer, Managing Director and speaker of Nurizon.
