Falcon Media presents two new innovative printable coatings for professional optical discs in Cebit 2010 – Hannover

By leveraging its proprietary technological developments and expertise in the printable layer coating field, Falcon Technologies International (FTI) is releasing a unique “Super Glossy” thermal printable surface specially optimized for the Rimage Everest professional printers and a “White Inkjet HR” inkjet printable surface with enhanced resistance of the printed label quality in high humidity environment.

The “White Thermal Super Glossy” for EVEREST delivers incredibly bright images with high resolution full color effect on the printed surface. The technical features of the surface secure flawless printing with excellent adhesion properties. The double reflection effect is neutralized which creates a sharper and more vivid color images print result.

Second release is the inkjet printable surface “White Inkjet HR”. This coating is designed with enhanced resistance of printed images to humid environment compared to standard inkjet printable surfaces.

This coating offers a photo-quality printing with better protection to color fading and printed images degradation over time once exposed to high humidity conditions. It also guaranties excellent ink absorption and a record drying time which allow a high throughput on duplication systems.

These two new printable surfaces releases are completing the company already existing wide range of printable solutions including the standard professional “Inkjet White”, “Thermal White”, and the “Universal Smart White” smooth printable layer compatible with both inkjet and thermal transfer printing technologies. This last printable layer success is based on its unmatched smooth surface which guarantees perfect image quality with maximum color contrast and depth.
