Philips 499P9H: See the big picture with the new SuperWide 32:9 display

The latest Philips monitors are SuperWide, ultra-slim, curved
and more feature-rich than ever

Berlin, 3 September 2018 – In hall 22, visitors can discover the exciting new line-up of Philips monitors, including SuperWide screens and touch solutions for greater productivity, USB-C docking for better connectivity, curved and ultra-slim screens for enhanced immersion, models dedicated to console gaming, and much more.

Monitors for productivity and entertainment alike
The 2018-2019 Philips monitors line-up has something for everyone. Professional as well as home users are certain to appreciate Philips’ latest innovations, whether their goal is to gain office efficiency, heighten their enjoyment of movies or gaming, reduce clutter, improve their ergonomic comfort, or treat themselves to high-performance graphics.

Seamless design: frameless, slim, curved
A 4-sided frameless design is a key feature of several of the latest Philips displays, which makes them ideal for tiling. With their truly seamless appearance, these monitors are also exceptionally slim, measuring as little as 6.1 mm, while curved models offer a more immersive user experience whether at home or at work.

The perfect ally: a dedicated monitor for console gamers
Designed for console gamers, the revolutionary Momentum line offers console gamers superb picture quality, rapid response time, and low input lag to ensure stutter and tear-free fast-paced gaming in addition to a multitude of additional features for enhanced comfort, connectivity, and enjoyment.

Seeing the big picture: SuperWide screens
The new line-up also features a monitor with a super-wide 32:9 screen. These generous proportions enable more efficient multi-tasking by offering more information on one screen whilst eliminating the distraction of the centre bar associated with screen tiling. SuperWide screens also save considerable space by replacing the extra stands and cables that accompany multi-screen use with a single, easy-to-install unit. These ultra-large screens also provide an enhanced ergonomic user experience courtesy of a fully adjustable monitor and balanced view distance for less neck and shoulder fatigue.

Just the right touch: tactile screens
Touch-screen technology is featured in a variety of this year’s Philips monitors. Their B2B Touch Monitors use Projected-Capacitive (P-Cap) touch and support up to 10 points in addition to advanced IP54 protection against water and dust. These screens also feature smooth and easy tilting to provide users the flexibility of choosing their preferred angle for greater ergonomic comfort.

Convenient connectivity: USB-C docking
Many of the upcoming professional Philips monitors are equipped with USB-C docking, offering optimised connectivity to match the new notebook standard while meeting the needs of today’s flexible working environments. Featuring a slim, bi-directional, reversible connector, USB type C offers easy one-cable docking that enables users to transfer data securely at the fastest data speeds available, charge their devices, hook up their display to phones and notebooks, and connect to peripherals simply and quickly.

Some details on the show’s star products:

499P9H – measuring 49", this monitor features a SuperWide, curved screen for efficient multi-tasking, replacing the need for multiple screens in such contexts as financial institutions, trading floors, and other B2B sectors. Ergonomically optimised for heightened productivity, it can be swivelled, tilted, and adjusted for maximum viewing comfort. This model is equipped with a variety of convenient features such as USB-C docking, Windows Hello pop-up webcam, as well as a SmartErgo base and Zero Power Switch.

349P9H, 329P9H, and 349P7Q – intended for professional use, these displays feature USB-C docking as well as high resolution for enhanced productivity and connectivity. In addition to the speed and convenience of USB-C docking, the 349P9H features a 34" (21:9) 4-sided frameless flat IPS display with a 5120 x 2160 resolution, Windows Hello pop-up webcam, USB-C and more. The 329P9H features a 31.5" (16:9) 4-sided frameless 4K flat display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution, Windows Hello pop-up webcam and USB-C docking, and it is made using 85% post-consumer recycled plastics. The 349P7F features a frameless curved 34" (21:9) display equipped with USB-C with PD as well as a handy 175/175 swivel stand that can also be tilted -5/+20 for optimal comfort.

221B9T and 171B9T – intended for professional use, these monitors harness the power of touchscreen technology with P-Cap touch and IP54 protection against water and dust infiltration. Measuring 21.5" and 17" respectively, both models feature TN display touch tech up to 10 points, and flexible stand design for just the right angle.

276C8, 278E9Q, and 328E9F – these ultra-slim, frameless models feature seamless, edgeless design for excellent expanded application, UltraWide-Color technology for vivid, true-to-life visuals, and USB-C connectivity. The 276C8 offers a flat, extra slim 6.1 mm-thick screen, while the 278E9Q and 328E9F offer curved, slim 9.94 mm-thick screens.

436M6VBPAB – shown for the first time in April, the Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB is the first monitor from the Philips Momentum Line. Designed for console gamers, this model is equipped with UltraClear 4K UHD resolution for exquisite precision on a huge 43" display; Quantum Dot Technology for greater colour accuracy; Adaptive Sync support, 4 ms GtG response time, and low input lag for stutter and tear-free fast-paced gaming; immersive Ambiglow Lighting; and enhanced audio with DTS Sound™. But that’s not all: the Momentum 436M6VBPAB is also the world’s first display to achieve the new VESA DisplayHDR™ 1000 standard, meaning more lifelike, vibrant visuals with superior brightness, depth, and nuance.

These are only a few of the highlights awaiting IFA visitors. The MMD stand allows visitors to discover and experience the entire range of displays for professional and home use, with a choice of specs and sizes for every taste and profile. The booth will also offer visitors a chance to test out the new Momentum monitor.

MMD is exhibiting at IFA 2018 in hall 22.
