The machine is structured vertically for an ideal adjustment to the planned task. It covers an extensive range of applications in any configuration. A very high rigidity and low vibrating properties, great dynamics and insignificant inertia are the basis for the best work results. It is suitable for simultaneous 5 facet processing. The tool performs the vertical movement; the work piece performs the longitudinal, transverse and rotational movements. The modern machine and control concept corresponds with the highest requirements of accuracy, surface quality and productivity on the work piece. An ergonomic design with excellent accessibility during use and service are inspiring.
The machine corresponds with the EU machine guideline in all aspects.


Basic Machine
The basic construction is distinguished by the highly developed modularity. The machine consists of the base frame that supports the machine column with the linear axes (milling module) and the various periphery modules.

Base Frame
Designed as a welded structure, it supports a module, which is stored in the interior compartment, and the solid casing. Anti-vibration adjusting keys neutralize the machine from vibrations of the foundation.
The loading and unloading device and the machine control modules are located in separate housings.

Milling Module, 3 axes
The machine column and linear axes form a compact, rigid and extremely low vibration unit. The machine column is assembled to the base frame and is vibration-dampened. The linear axes are equipped with reinforced double prism rolling guide of the highest precision, rigidity and operating smoothness. The X and Y axis are designed as a horizontal coordinate table; the Z axis is vertical and carries the milling spindle.

Stroke positions, triple axial
The precision ball-type linear drive and the high resolution linear measuring system are located in the centre.

Structure of the linear axes
Servomotors and a zero-backlash belt drive guarantee a smooth feed motion, optimal surfaces and a long tool life.

Milling Spindles
The milling spindle must be selected according to the intended use (refer to separate data sheet). All available spindles are suitable for targeted interchanges and the use of 3D push-buttons.

Drives
The drives of the accuracy-defining axes are engineered in a closed digital control circuit, exclusively with components of renowned manufacturers.

Computer Numerical Control
The iTNC 530 by Heidenhain in its highest performing version is used as machine control. Screen, keypad and machine control panel are arranged in an ergonomic desk form. Peripherals are preferably controlled by Profibus.

Control Cabinet
All control components and electrical assemblies are housed in a separate control cabinet and are designed to be reliable, dust-proof and easy to maintain.

Machine Covering, Safety Equipment
The machine has a multi-panel, sound-absorbing solid casing. The access to the work area is provided by asymmetrically divided front doors. The glass of the doors and side windows provides an excellent observation of the process. All operating points are arranged ergonomically and are provided with safety equipment according to EU machine guidelines.

Machine Cooling
The heat that accumulates on various points of the machines is discharged by a coolant. Servomotors, spindle and control cabinet are cooled to prevent accuracy losses or overheating. The cooling agent is cooled to the required value in a compressor cooler located outside of the machine.

Automatic Tool Changer (Option)
Tool changers with 32 or 80 (HSK F32) tool locations are available. All functions are monitored by sensors. Setups are possible parallel to run times. The tool locations are arranged in 2 round or chain magazines that are located on top of each other. It is powered by a synchronous motor. The tool gripper is a pneumatic single gripper. The change process is prepared parallel to the run time.

Round Spindles (Option)
Round spindles A and B are designed as a unit and can be attached or removed on the XY table with a few movements. The zero-backlash recirculating ball screw and nut and the directly installed angular sensor with high resolution guarantee the highest repeat and maximum accuracy.

Automatic Tool Measurement (Option)
A mechanical capsule or a laser measuring system is optionally available. Correction parameters are automatically calculated. You may find the details in a separate specification sheet.

Automatic Work Piece Changer (Option)
6 to 24 work pieces can automatically be exchanged depending on the size of the work piece and the mounting system. More work pieces are also possible, if these are small. The single gripper is pneumatically controlled and is moved by electromotive positioning axes. However, it is also possible to connect central work piece robots.

Automatic Work Piece Measurement (Option)
A controlling 3D measuring stylus with infrared data transmission is installed in a tool by changing the program and completes cycle controlled measuring operations. The measured values are automatically calculated.

Comprehensive accessories allow an optimal adjustment of the machine to any use. The following should be mentioned

Electronic hand wheel,
Tool holders of various designs,
Mandrel gauges,
Maintenance dose coolant-lubricating equipment,
Solid spray coolant lubrication,
Work piece clamping systems,
Suctioning systems for oil and emulsion cloud separation, dust or fine chips.
