Alpha Rack Mount 5U - Disc Publisher for the integration in a 19“ Computer Rack or Kiosk Module

(Dieburg, October 2006) At the Systems IT fair in Munich, LSK presents the Alpha Rack Mount 5U, a flexible Disc Publishing System for the integration in a 19-inch computer rack or kiosk module.

At Systems 2006, the Alpha Rack Mount 5U, a highlight of the LSK Data Systems GmbH, comes onto the market. Many companies try to compensate a chronic lack of space in the IT environment by using server racks. With the Alpha Rack Mount 5U, LSK takes this development into account and offers on the market a universal and flexible Disc Publishing System with unique features vis-a-vis the competitors. The Alpha RM 5U can be easily integrated into a 19“ computer rack or kiosk module and needs only a minimum of space with its 5U enclosure. Furthermore, its lockable front prevents data discs from being taken away unauthorizedly. Equipped with a CD/DVD combi drive, five freely configurable media slots, robotics to load and unload the discs as well as a direct-to-surface inkjet label printer, the Alpha Rack Mount 5U can be flexibly and universally used in every office environment for the internal and external data communication, for the data distribution, backup, or storage or as a system component in a kiosk solution, e.g. in medical technology or photo industry. All high-class, the Alpha Rack Mount 5U offers all quality features of the Delta industry product series and is thus appropriate for the continuous operation under production conditions. The intelligent control unit and the media carousel with 5 slots, designed for the continuous operation, permits the mixed processing of CDs and DVDs of all common formats. Also unique in its class – the production throughput of up to 120 discs per job. With the Alpha Rack Mount 5U, you produce CDs and DVDs in your office as easily as a document. The Alpha Rack Mount 5U processes fully automatically commands made on PC or MAC. The included software package offers a creative variety to create, burn, and print the discs for the professional production. Data from known burning programs, such as NERO, will be taken over. The Alpha printer convinces with its outstanding print quality and print speed. Its up to 4800 dpi resolution and nine different print modes give CDs/DVDs a professional look with pin-sharp pictures and graphics like from the service provider. The printing is effected with the presently smallest drop size possible of 3 picoliters with the innovative HP PhotoREt Technology, a process to optimize the resolution of the color inkjet printing. The advantages of this leading HP technology are the low ink consumption, the higher print quality and the fast drying time. The special suction system for the color fog generated during the printing process is another quality feature, which increases the production safety, prolongs the service intervals, and positively effects the print result. The Alpha uses original inks, which are especially customized for the operation and the color management of the printer and the driver software. The Alpha Office ONE can be operated on every PC running under Windows XP or Mac OS X from version 10.4 on. The installation is simple, you just need to plug the USB 2.0 cable and install the included software.
