(Dieburg, October 2006) At the Systems IT fair in Munich, LSK presents the Omega – a compact Desktop Disc Publishing System as entry-level solution for the professional production of small series and the on-demand production of individual discs.

With the Omega, LSK presents its expanded desktop series product range at the Systems IT fair 2006. Equipped with two high-performance CD/DVD recorders, a high-resolution inkjet printer, proven robotics to load and unload the discs as well as a separate reject bin, the Omega is unique in price and performance, flexibly and universally applicable to communicate via disc. All elegant and high-class, the Omega offers all quality features of the Delta industry product series and is appropriate for the continuous operation under production conditions. With the Omega, you duplicate and print CDs and DVDs as easily as a document. The intuitive printing and burning software processes fully automatically commands made on PC or MAC. Data from known burning programs, such as NERO, will be taken over. The Omega printer convinces with its outstanding print quality and print speed. Its up to 4800 dpi resolution and nine different print modes give CDs/DVDs a professional look with pin-sharp pictures and graphics. The printing is effected with the presently smallest drop size possible of 3 picoliters with the innovative HP PhotoREt Technology, a process to optimize the resolution of the color inkjet printing. The advantages of this leading HP technology are the low ink consumption, the higher print quality as well as the fast drying time. The special suction system for the color fog generated during the printing process is another quality feature, which increases the production safety, prolongs the service intervals, and positively effects the print result. The Omega uses original inks, which are especially customized for the operation and the color management of the printer and the driver software. The Omega is available with or without an integrated control PC. It can be operated on PC systems running under Windows XP as well as on Mac OS X from version 10.4 on as a single station solution or in the local area network. The installation is simple, you just need to plug the USB 2.0 cable and install the included software. All common formats, including Dual Layer, are supported. Optionally, a network version is available.
