asknet partners with living-C to expand channel management and media production services

Press release from: asknet AG

Karlsruhe, February 16, 2010 – asknet AG, which recently was ranked as one of Germany’s fastest-growing technology companies in Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 50” report, today announces its cooperation with living-C, a provider of comprehensive services to the eCommerce sector.

living-C offers a full range of eCommerce services and has many years’ experience in channel management for producers of standard software in Europe, particularly in the German, Austrian, Swiss, and British markets. The partnership with living-C will also expand asknet’s services to include media productions, keeping abreast with the rapidly growing advertising market for product and promotional videos.

This provides asknet’s customers with further opportunities to boost their sales. Software vendors can employ eTailers, distributors, and system houses to dominate indirect sales channels. Thanks to the partnership with living-C, asknet’s shop module for resellers and distributors will gain a spectrum of channel management features; enhancements include the calculation of resale prices, license models, the quantity and quality of partner service, as well as contract management – exchange policies, shipping charges, usage rights, performance targets, marketing support, PR for trade shows.

Going forward, asknet will offer an additional service: the production of product and promotional videos, which is the online advertising market with the highest growth. Product and promotional videos open up new opportunities to boost sales revenues. In the future, pictures and texts will not be sufficient to meet customers’ information needs and to induce them to buy products. Presentations with moving images are therefore becoming part of the standard package employed by modern companies for marketing and image-building. Product videos can be viewed by customers at any time, and can be integrated into websites, online shops, or popular video portals to increase conversion rates when buying.

Viral marketing using professional and entertaining product videos placed on a portal such as YouTube can increase recognition and produce excellent sales results.
