Pacific Front Recordings Presents Storm Warning 002: A compilation of the present and future of Pacific Front Recordings, mixed by Formulate

Storm Warning 002 is the second compilation from Canadian label Pacific Front Recordings, a label founded in 2004 by artists Justin Humber (Formulate) and Davin Greenwell (AFK). Pacific Front is one of the labels responsible for keeping western Canada on the progressive house radar and their releases, which also include breaks and techno, have found homes in the crates of many a large name since their string of breakout releases in 2005, most notably AFK's "Dreamcache" and Formulate's "The Voice of Qi."

Keeping in tune with the previous compilation, Storm Warning 002 serves as an introduction to the unique sound of Pacific Front for the uninitiated while keeping their regular fanbase happy with exclusive cuts and remixes. Storm Warning 002 also includes new material that will be made available in single format in the coming year, but for now, won't be heard anywhere else.

Pacific Front was started in 2004 by Canadian artists Justin Humber and Davin Greenwell to bring focus to electronic artists indiginous to western Canada and the pacific northwestern United States. Not concerned with genre of the music as much as the ideas behind it, the sound of Pacific Front is derived from the club, the afterparty, and the darkest depths of the underground. But all of it comes with a healthy dose of west coast attitude.
