THE STORM WITHIN

THE STORM WITHIN

January first is the date set for the release of a new rock album from the progressive rock band, Labodaz. The album, The Storm Within, is the third album from Labodaz and follows right along with their awesome progressive style.
Labodaz got their start in 1984 in Houston, Texas by guitarist Larry Mcleroy and drummer Mykk Freeman and has put out three albums since their debut so many years ago.
The First album was titled, "The Calm of Strangeness" and has fared quite well as did the second album, "Chinjoka Syndicate" which has their hit song, Earth Monster.
Being compared to bands like Kansas, Dream Theater, Rush and Emerson, Lake and Palmer truly shows off this bands style as fast paced, odd timings with wicked drumming that keeps you waiting for the next change. With a mix of heavy metal all the way to funk and jazz, Labodaz has something for everyone.
The album is now available through pre-order at : https://labodaz.bandcamp.com/album/the-storm-within
A complete discography is also available along with a book of sheet music from their first album. You owe it to yourself to come visit the band, check out their music and pick up an album for you or a friend.

Labodaz is the brain-child of Mykk Freeman and Larry McLeroy. This band was created way back in 1982. After Larry was murdered in the early 90's, the music was put aside until Mykk decided to revive it. After a few tweaks here and there it was finally put down on paper and recorded.
