Mortgage Professional America Elite Women 2018 Awards

Economic development nonprofit firm Business and Community Lenders of Texas is proud to announce that its Director of Mortgage Lending, Jacqueline Jones, has been recognized in the Mortgage Professional America magazine’s 2018 Elite Women report. The MPA Elite Women features professionals who are expertly leading and shaping a more diverse mortgage industry.

Jones said that the most rewarding part of her work is sharing knowledge about the home buying process: “Imparting knowledge that consumers can improve their credit, they can get into a home, they can get help with down payment assistance – that’s why I love what I do,” she said.

Jones’ accomplishments include:

○ 25 years’ mortgage experience, including working with some of the top mortgage companies, title organizations, and Realtors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
○ Managing the 5-county NeighborhoodLIFT down payment assistance program, which assisted 449 families over a two-year period
○ Working in her community through the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce, Women’s Council of NAREB and National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers

From the hundreds of nominations that flooded in this year for MPA’s annual Elite Women report, the list was narrowed to 70 women who have been making their voices heard in what was once a male-dominated industry.

“While women continue to face unique challenges when building their careers, the mortgage professionals on the following list have proved that climbing to the upper echelons of the industry is no longer impossible; their stories will undoubtedly help to encourage and empower all women who strive to be the industry’s next great leaders,” said Heather Turner, MPA journalist.
