Revolution is the word! The new brand of jeans AIELOWU JEANNIE (spoken as ‘I love you Jeannie’), by Live-Lived Inc., boasts of features that are intended to disrupt the very foundation of the “traditional” women’s jeans by providing structural alterations to the jeans as we know them. It can be safely said that they have achieved this mostly by figuring out and attending to the flaws in the industry and attempted to fix this major malfunction through dedicated research and development, with an eye for innovation and creativity. And, women all over the world are about to have an out-of-the-world experience in wearing these jeans and here’s why we should be rooting for it.

1) WE NEED TO RECLAIM OUR BODIES, IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE: We just cannot survive anymore with hand-me-down designs from men’s fashion. Our bodies need to be taken into account when the products being made and marketed for us. Jeans for women, like virtually most other products, have been unfortunately derived from the world of men’s fashion. A woman’s body, her needs and hygiene have been completely ignored during the re-designing and re-inventing of women’s jeans, so far. Having derived from the world of men’s fashion inevitably meant that all its features, perfect for a man’s body, had been carried forward and rather fashionably imposed onto the women. Consequently, what it implies for the millions of women who immerse themselves in it for hours together is that, it is just not suited for their bodies and their specifications by virtue of having a woman’s body.
2) ITS NEVER A WRONG TIME FOR A REVOLUTION: Apart from the reason that fashion has been factually a scenario where woman’s body has been ignored, while designing and catering products for them, it is high time that such revolutions be made and wars be waged. Because if not now, when? It is the 21st century and we still wear jeans that are not friendly for the disabled. For the public spaces that were created for and by those in the majority of the bell curve, we need definitive steps that will redress these chaos.
3) THESE JEANS ADDRESS THE GRIEVANCES: It is a well-accepted fact that using the women’s jeans in its now existing form has more risks of being unhygienic due to the compulsion of being pulled down while using the toilet and thereby collecting germs and dirt from the floor. It is still an unpleasant surprise that women have to undergo such pain and fuss, while catering to their special hygienic needs because its creators did not seem to have bothered about it. But here comes AIELOWU JEANNIE flashing its own patented jeans that features a front opening flap using a pair of zippers that go all the way to the rear, preventing stress required for pulling down the jeans while using the restroom. It also features an anti-microbial lining, where adhesive panty liners can be used so that women needn’t wear an underwear. With this new AIELOWU JEANNIE, the jeans are no longer a thriving spot for germs and bacteria, and women’s hygiene can be attended with limited privacy. Their resolve to make women’s hygiene effortless was the result of tedious research and consultation with fashion influencers and enthusiasts, leading to a disruption in the current fashion scenario.
4) THEY SCREAM FUNCTIONALITY: Not just by its innovative design for hygiene purposes but also for the uber efficient pockets like men, women don’t need to carry extra accessories to take care of their personal stuff, like a cellphone. Furthermore, women now needn’t buy additional clothing for fun activities like camping, trekking and hiking as these have been specially made for them. They are multi-functional too. When on a trip all you need are one pair of these babies and you’re good to go; be it travelling, cycling, trekking or hiking. They are said to be so comfortable that there are jeans enthusiasts who have gone on record to say that they have even slept in them.
In order to achieve these goals, Live-Lived Inc., the startup company that owns the brand AIELOWU JEANNIE, has already started a crowdfunding campaign through the Kickstarter. They plan on starting the large-scale manufacturing in August and followed by start shipping the orders by November 2018.
The word revolutionary is the most apt for this product and everything that it stands for. This innovation has been done to create a market for the needs of the marginalized. They can easily be termed as an empowerment strategy for those who have been historically sidelined in the creation of public spaces. AIELOWU JEANNIE is screaming out aloud about the deficits in a market that apparently ignored such disruptive ideas. And their product is pointing towards the existence of a huge gap which has been left unfilled by designers and innovators. Either they were aware of it and due to their fear of its likely unwelcome in the market caused them to abandon it or it might be the case of a genuine lack of understanding of what’s missing in the design of such products fueled by the society’s construction of the public sphere and its space as male-centric with an idea of the human body as a masculine entity.

Live-Lived Incorporated (a C-corporation incorporated in Delaware, USA) is planning a huge disruption in the history of women’s jeans, through innovation.
They have developed a unique line of jeans named “Aielowu Jeannie”, with the aim of making women feel comfortable on denim, use the restroom with ease as well as attend to their hygienic needs like changing a tampon or a menstrual cup in limited privacy.
This patented jean (US9089173 and pending elsewhere) features a front opening flap using a pair of zippers that go all the way to the rear preventing stress required for pulling down the jeans to make use of the restroom. They are currently teaming up with numerous fashion influencers, bloggers and enthusiasts for the launch of “Aielowu Jeannie” to make the difference they are aspiring for.
They are looking for trendsetters, not trend followers - and hope that these trends will become powerful enough to be the set standard for all women products across the globe. For more information: https://aielowu.com and https://live-lived.com
