Planit Aims At Bringing Nigeria's Event Industry Online,

Planit Adds 3,000 vendors To Make It Easier For You To Plan Your Event

- As it aims at more than quadrupling the number by year's end

Planit.ng, a startup that aims at making bringing the events industry online has on-boarded more than 3,000 vendors in less than 2 months to make it easier for you to plan your wedding or any event at all. Vendors can post information regarding their business as well as photos of past work done.

On the platform, you can search and hire event vendors such as caterers, event planners, DJs, makeup artists, photographers and a lot more. Speaking on the company's growth, its CEO, Nkenu Timothy remarked "in building our marketplace, we've chosen to first grow the supply side (vendors) and then work on getting demand to the site as it exists. There are of course other ways to build a marketplace but thankfully, no solution is a one-size-fits-all".

Planit aims at reaching 20,000 vendors within Nigeria by the end of 2018 as well as facilitate thousands of transactions between vendors and potential users. To hire on the platform, a user simply needs to sign up and send request quote from the vendor and get a reply.

Regarding future plans, Nkenu remarked, "we do have a bunch of extra features that we'll be introducing to make the platform easier to use and a one-stop shop. These features will include escrow services, tiny components of e-commerce and a lot more and will be put out gradually over time. We're bootstrapped mostly and have been in operation for less than sixty days, so we still have a long way to go".

While the team currently operates remotely, it plans on changing this over time as the platform grows and further solidifies itself as the go-to resource for everything events related.

Planit offers a marketplace for users to find and hire event vendors online. It was launched on the 11th of June, 2018
