Following sensitive information being hacked from the US Navy, Leading experts will discuss the role of information in the naval sphere at Maritime Information Warfare 2018

In recent news, sensitive information has been hacked from the US Navy. Hackers have stolen a massive cache of highly sensitive data related to undersea warfare from a US Navy contractor, including secret plans to develop a new type of submarine-launched anti-ship missile.

Stolen material also included information related to a secretive project known as Sea Dragon, as well as signals and sensor data, submarine radio room information relating to cryptographic systems, and the Navy submarine development unit's electronic warfare library [The Telegraph].

This news piece highlights the increasing need for Navies across the globe, in an ever-evolving technological environment, to improve their maritime cyber security capabilities and embrace cyberspace as a new domain of naval warfare.
