Opening of MWM Korea Representative Office

Effective from 1 October 2009, MWM Korea Representative Office has opened in Maposinyoung Gwell as a part of MWM GmbH, Germany. Mr. Soon Sung Yoo has taken over the leadership position in the new office as the Director. Mr. Yoo will keep close contact with all existing and potential new customers in Korea and will be the point of coordination for the sales and service dealers in Korea. The MWM Korea Representative Office is under the care of MWM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore, the regional headquarters of MWM GmbH, Germany, for the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Yoo started his career in the power generation business in 1976, starting as a sales engineer. Since than he held several positions in the related industry, moving up in seniority, and has now taken the helm at the MWM Korea Representative Office as the Director, with responsibility for both sales and service in Korea. Qualified with a mechanical engineering degree from Han University in Seoul, Mr. Yoo has in recent years, successfully secured multiple unit sales with MWM generator sets. Key projects include Byuk-San Apartments with 2 units of 500-kW natural gas gensets and Daejun Karam Apartments with one unit of 1050-kW natural gas gensets.
The establishment of the MWM Representative Office in Korea is part of MWM’s global expansion strategy that has proven successful, proven by the continued growth of the company during the last financial year against the odds of the global financial crisis. With opening of the representative MWM would like to underline the presence in the Korean market for decentralized co-generation systems.
