Celebrating 40 Years of St Albans Organ Theatre 1978 to 2018
On the 16th June 2018, SAMMS (St Albans Musical Museum Society) will be celebrating 40 years since the Charitable Trust was established to look after Charles Hart's wonderful musical collection in St Albans, Herts.

Press wishing to attend, please email info@stalbansorgantheatre.org.uk – the presentation will be made by Lord Lieutenant for Herts, Robert Voss CBE at 6pm on the 16th June.

The musical theatre has a fascinating collection of unique self-playing musical instruments and is one of the top theatre organ concert venues in the UK.

Originally the collection was owned by Charles Hart, who towards the end of his life, wished the collection to still be available to the public and the charitable trust was set up.

The theatre is steeped in history and has been committed to running community events since it began. Charles also used to take some of the collection and rides down to Verulamium Park back in the early 1970's.
