PC/104 CPU with dual Ethernet and sound
Cool LiteRunner 2
Networking applications greatly profit from LiPPERT's latest addition to its family of proven PC/104 CPU modules, the Cool LiteRunner 2. Driven by an AMD Geode GX processor and based on the very successful Cool LiteRunner, which is still available, the new, compact board comes with features some customers missed in its predecessor. The Cool LiteRunner 2 sports four fast USB 2.0 host ports, one of which can be configured as an USB device. Other additions include AC97 sound and doubled RAM memory of 256 MB.
These features are complemented by two available Ethernet ports and the full range of PC interfaces. Integrated on the small board are floppy disk and IDE adapters, as well as a graphics controller capable of handling VGA and TFT using either a bit-parallel or LVDS interface. Three serial ports for RS232/RS422/RS485, a printer port and PS/2 keyboard/mouse complete the Cool LiteRunner 2.
The Cool LiteRunner 2 runs Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE, Linux, and VxWorks operating systems. It can be extended using miniPCI modules and the PC/104 bus connector. The board is available for the standard and for the extended temperature range.
