Starting now the German stock photographer Robert Kneschke offers in his Blog "Alltag eines Fotoproduzenten" (Daily Life of a Picture Producer) a free Income Calculator. Stock photographers can use it to calculate their projected earnings with stock agencies for this and the next year.

After entering some information like downloads and earnings so far this year and the size of the photographer's portfolio, the calculator shows the projected income until the end of this year and the next year. It also accounts for the portfolio growth over time and allows adjusting different currencies so the income from different stock agencies can be better compared.

Additionally other statistic data like "return per image/year" (RPI), "return per download/year" (RPD), "downloads per image/year" and more will be calculated.

The tool can be found under:
http://www.alltageinesfotoproduzenten.de/stock-photography-income-calculator

"I calculated these data for years on my own and they help me to base my business decisions on numbers and facts, not solely on emotions. I wanted to share this possibility" says Robert Kneschke.

Idea and formula were created by Robert Kneschke, who is a professional stock photographer for years, the realisation was done by Ralf Baumbach. The Calculator works in English, German and French, a help function is available in English and German.

What is stock photography?
Stock photographs can be licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online at stock agencies.

Robert Kneschke was born 1980 in Berlin, Germany. After finishing his studies in Political Science at the FU Berlin, he became a freelance photo producer in 2006. Since 2007 he lives and works in Cologne, Germany and supplies different picture agencies.
