JumpingJockey.com Giving Away Scandalous Horse Racing T-Shirts

Press release from: Jumpingjockey.com

Jumpingjockey.com has put together a prize draw to give away t-shirts which pokes fun at the current scandals in British horse racing and in particular the attitude of the HRA (Horseracing Regulatory Authority).

The t-shirt is light hearted and was originally designed to poke fun at the horse racing business of old. Director of JumpingJockey.com comments;

"these t-shirts really are just poking fun, one cant help but laugh when they see the t-shirt and it brings home the fact that todays scandals are nothing like the things we saw back in the 'dark ages' when many races were not televised and people got away with anything and everything".

"for some years now, every race is recorded with multiple angles and shown live with more stewards at each event than ever before watching every move, for jockeys to 'jump off' really is a joke in this day and age becuase trainers, jockeys and betting syndicates cant make a move without somebody seeing something thanks to the computer age that we live in".

The current scandal grabbing all the headlines is the charge of conspiracy to defraud, the three jockeys alleged to have been involved are Six-times champion Kieren Fallon and fellow jockeys Fergal Lynch and Darren Williams , all were banned from riding in Britain pending their trials.

Fallon has major financial backing to appeal his case and attempt to overturn the HRA's ban, in a recent article published on the 'Times Online' website they report that not only is Fallon accused of delibrately losing, the horses that he rode included two for the queen trained by other high profiled trainers who could well be dragged into the whole affair.

JumpingJockey.com's Tim Mehmet says; "Given the fact that Fallon actually won 6 of the 18 races in question and bearing in mind that Fallon generally rides top horses in very competitive events, he achieved a 33% strike rate, I can say with absolute certainty that if you ask any jockey if they would be happy with 1 in 3 wins in big races with big prize money, they would sell their souls to the devil to have such success, to get this sort of strike rate requires a jockey to really try very very hard on very good horses".

The general feeling at JumpingJockey.com on this whole affair is that it needs to be concluded quickly otherwise the damage caused will not only hurt British racing but if any of the jockeys are found to be innocent, the HRA will suffer becuase JumpingJockey will commission some more funny t-shirts to give away!.

A poll on the JumpingJockey.com website is asking visitors if Fallon should be allowed to ride currently shows 67% for yes and 33% for no. It would seem that racing fans also have an opinion.

JumpingJockey.com launched in January 2006. Its main activity is to provide tipping services for UK horse racing and European Football/Soccer leagues.
