SMI's Smart Water Systems 2018 is back for its 7th year and will feature an unprecedented line-up of some of the most prominent industry thought-leaders, enabling you to harness the next generation of smart systems in the global water industry.

(Netherlands) will join the programme on Day 2 with a Case Study on Smart Grid in a Connected Society, which will focus specifically on * Why do utilities need a smart grid * Sensoring and monitoring * Advanced analytics * Building a business case * Digital society

Bert De Winter, Chief Innovation Officer, De Watergroep (Belgium) will present his Case Study: Smart metering: Enhancing customer intimacy and efficient water management on Day 2 of the programme with more explanations of:
* Advanced metering analytics: new insights for water and energy conservation * Customer engagement * Platform architecture and data protection * Timeline

From the Case Study on Day 2 by Steven De Schrijver, Chief Operations Officer, Water-link (Belgium) participants will learn about the pathway of the company - From commodity to service in the water industry: smart systems enable the transformation. With detailed attention given on
* Creating value through smart-meter roll-out * Proactive flooding detection * Monitoring decentralized, circular drinking water production * Integrated multi-utility asset management

Also, insightful workshop from Artesia Consulting will explore the options for using data analytics and visualisation to help operate water networks more efficiently. Attendees will get the opportunity to discuss the needs and challenges in moving to smarter networks. Workshop will run on 24 April at the same venue
