Not only that the new arlanis UDC offers numerous improvements of the functionalities of the conversion procedure. This present release shows totally new and important features, which could be now used right away by application developers with the standard package of the software. Especially the strongly refined Visual Mapping Designer and the comprehensive new data transport mechanism for data not located in the local system are a pleasure to work with.
The arlanis Universal Data Converter UDC is an all-purpose data conversion tool to convert almost any data file - whatever its format may be - into another one. It is suitable in virtually any IT project and can easily be integrated in foreign architectures - due to its universal and unique design. With the arlanis Universal Data Converter you can convert data from one system into another, you can manage B2B data exchange and you can create import- or export-interfaces for your own applications.
Its own integration platform contains a web service interface and renders the solution system and language independent thanks to SOA technology (Java, .NET, ...).
The arlanis UDC is naturally usable within a network, inclusively the monitoring and management option. Data conversions can be done on a regular basis or as one-time data migrations respecting the complex rules which need to be followed during the transformation process.
All these significant changes could be possible due to the radical change of the integration paradigm. Here you’ll find only some of the highlighted features of the UDC V3.01 version:
Custom Adapter
Since this release there are two new adapters which can be highly configured. It is possible to execute arbitrary Java source within the adapter.
XML Adapter
There are now two XML target adapters. The new adapter supports the whole XSD standard and can create more than one document at the same time.
Mapping Designer
Within the reengineered Mapping Designer relations between records can be done in a graphical way now. Lookup records can now be inserted into the top level record.
It is now possible to do an automatic mapping between two data structures within the mapping designer (map by name, by position).
