The Insurance and the Aviation verticals and the China and Africa geographies mark the entry of Solix into these new markets with its flagship product, Solix Enterprise Data Management Suite (Solix EDMS). Solix EDMS has been deployed widely in North America including Canada, UK and Europe, Korea, India and China for enterprise applications such as Oracle e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, BaaN and custom applications.
In this new win in Africa, Solix EDMS will provide the region’s leading airline with advanced database archiving capability for its Oracle E-Business Suite environment with the capability to expand data management functionality to its Siebel and custom applications at a later date. Using Solix EDMS Archiving with pre-populated templates for Oracle E-Business Suite, the airline will effectively manage their Oracle E-Business Suite environment by allocating data depending on business value, all the while maintaining database performance, data access and data privacy in the non-production environments.
“Solix EDMS will provide the Airline with a database archiving solution that will meet their current needs and have the flexibility to grow for their other applications as they add new modules or databases”, said Sai Gundavelli, Founder/CEO of Solix Technologies. “Having a solution that works in a heterogeneous IT environment is a key business need and will be a proof point for our product meeting the requirements of our customers in different verticals and geographies .”
Database archiving is a proven technique to reduce the size of production databases resulting in improved application performance, faster clones during migration, testing, development and disaster recovery cycles and reducing storage costs throughout the entire IT infrastructure. Using Solix Enterprise Data Archiving, customers will be able to automate the process for archiving and purging of historical data from their Oracle database. By implementing Solix Enterprise Data Archiving, customers can reduce the size of primary database, keeping growth in-check; maintain performance and lower storage costs.
