Playata GmbH offers database and web development services for online game publishers
Bernried (Germany), August 13th 2009: The creators of Germany's most popular online gaming database BLASC and senior staff of Europe’s largest MMORPG website buffed.de have started their new venture ‘Playata’. The company offers database, content, community and consulting services to publishers of online games and related industries.
Additionally Playata is also releasing its own properties such as an international database (www.aiondatabase.com) of the upcoming NCsoft Game ’Aion’ and a groundbreaking new Machinima tool (machinima.playata.com) for creators of computer animation movies.
Playata reunites the creators of the popular online game database BLASC and key members from the launch team of buffed.de, Europe's leading editorial MMORPG website. The six co-founders of Playata are Johannes Sevket Gözalan (CEO), Heinrich Lenhardt (COO), Benjamin Hirsch, Marcel Anacker, Mathias Fabian and Reto Bisang.
The founders are also proven specialists in building communities and retaining them. „Game databases are an increasingly important marketing tool for publishers of online games to show off the game content, grow an active community and service their target audience,“ said Johannes Sevket Gözalan, CEO and Co-Founder of Playata. „Our international team has had great success with international databases for popular MMOs such as ‘World of Warcraft’ and ‘Runes of Magic’. Our expertise in client and web development is beneficial for promoting online games and building an online audience to increase revenues and sustainability.”
Playata is headquartered in Germany with outlets in Canada and Japan. The company name is a word play on ‘player’ and ‘data’.
