Baseportal Ltd is offering the possibility to create your own online databases for free since the year 2000 under http://baseportal.com.
The operation, as with google base, is simply functional and therefore easy and fast. Additional possibilities exceed google base by far:

The new thing about google base is surely the all encompassing indexing of the complete data of all its users which can then comfortably be recalled by the simple search typical for google. In its present form, this could, by no means, be seen as a competition for existing online databases and of course wasn’t intended to be.
