E-Invoicing & EBPP: European EXPP Summit 2006

In Europe around 100.000 corporates and organisations were using E-Invoicing in the end of 2005. More and more companies, organisations and institutions of the public and government sector implement E-Invoicing solutions to optimise their financial supply chain and realise the cost-cutting potential along the purchase-to-pay process. “After a survey with leading providers in the market I came to the conclusion that this figure will increase to at least 240.000 by the end of 2006,” says Bruno Koch, Chairman of the EXPP Summit and CEO of Billentis. While solutions and services in the electronic billing and payments area have tended to grow locally in recent years, it is becoming increasingly important to consider the European trends. While domestic operator services remain essential, E-Invoicing has to be considered in an international environment.
