2008 White House Candidates Daniel Imperato and Webster Brooks

West Palm Beach, Fl - May 7, 2006 - Today 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato sent his support to the newly elected President of Singapore, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong.

Loong's People's Action Party was returned to power in elections yesterday, though the opposition increased its share of the vote.
The party, which has ruled the city-state since 1959, won about 67 percent of votes cast, down from 75 percent at the last election in 2001. It has 82 of 84 seats in parliament.
2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato wanted to show his support for the newly installed president.

“I look forward to working with Mr. Lee Hsien Loong. I am sure that he is a good man who has nothing but the best of intentions for his country,” stated Imperato.

Imperato also wanted the world to know that Singapore is major factor in the global economy.

“Singapore is one of the world’s strongest economies and world should serve notice. The business community in Singapore is very influential in the world and with the help of the new president, we can increase global cooperation with Singapore,” added Imperato.

`Perhaps some people wanted to send a message to the PAP with some of the heavy-handed methods, and for the PAP to lighten up,'' said David Cohen, an economist at Action Economics in Singapore. ``Citizens would be satisfied with the economic performance, which reflects a competent management of the economy.''

Cohen forecasts Singapore's economy would expand by 6.5 percent to 7 percent this year, compared with the government's prediction of growth of as much as 6 percent, which he expects would be revised.

A man like Imperato is someone who can be very useful for Singapore’s new leadership. Imperato has over 20 years of experience in Singapore and has operated businesses and offices in the country.

In conclusion, Imperato wanted to know that the region has an ally in the United States and in Daniel Imperato and Webster Brooks.

“Both myself, and my Vice Presidential running mate, Webster Brooks, support greatly the country and leadership of Singapore. The Southeast Asian region is very important for the success of the global economy. We look to engage Mr. Lee Hsien Loong with mutual respect for continued prosperous relations with the United States.”
