Concat AG participates at Cloud Expo Europe

Managed Security Services were the central theme of Concat’s presence at Cloud Expo Europe in Frankfurt (Nov. 28-29, 2017, booth 968). With the concept Security-as-a-Service, Concat addressed medium-sized companies that do not have their own IT security team and are in search of a service provider who professionally supports CRITIS (Critical Infrastructures), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or general IT security.

The German Federal Ministry of the Interior mentioned more than 600 million malicious programs worldwide in their new report on IT security in Germany. In 2002 there were only 1,132 (Source: Federal Office for Information Security, AV-Test). This represents an increase of more than 53 million percent.

The growing number of apps and mobile devices is driving the digitization of the economy at high power. Without IT support, almost no company can exist today. The security of IT infrastructures is no longer negotiable.

The most important preventive measure is a sophisticated protection concept according to specifications by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) with daily backups and fast data recovery. For effective protection of customer data against evasive malware, Concat AG operates a cyber security platform in ISO- certified data centers using the most efficient technologies from market-leading manufacturers. The Managed IT Security Competence Team monitors customer systems around the clock, in real-time, and analyzes all incidents to take immediate countermeasures.

Concat AG also provided companies with information on security measures for critical infrastructures and for the General Data Protection Regulation. They featured managed services to help to automate and operate IT tasks more efficiently. These included; services for telephony (as a replacement for ISDN, which will be shut down by Telekom 2018), backup, file sharing, exchange hosting, mobile device management and more. Customers can book computing capacities (CPU, storage etc.) instead of having to invest in their own infrastructure.

Concat’s hosting infrastructure is located in highly secure, ISO-certified data centers in Germany and thus meets the requirements of the Federal Data Protection Act. For short-term needs, capacities are available from public cloud partners such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and others.
