LaPret calls Michael Jackson his Biggest Musical Influence
LaPret credits Michael Jackson as his "biggest musical influence" and has spoken through YouTube & Twitter.Emerging Rapper LaPret published a video on his official YouTube Profile ( KINGLaPret ) on Thursday, featuring a audio recording in which he says “Wassup this is ya boy LaPret, a.k.a The Platinum Kid, I just wanna say ‘much love and respect to Michael Jackson”.
On his official twitter profile ( KINGLaPret) he stated “You continue to inspire me as a Recording Artist, Writer and Performer! R.I.P. MJ”
LaPret has named Michael Jackson as his biggest musical influence since the age of 4. He made his recording debut in 2006 with his group, Profound Intent. In 2009 his solo debut singles “Got the Skillz” and “Another Day” was released thus establishing him as an emerging force in the music industry.
He learned of Michael Jackson’s death, leaving from his parent’s home in Oxon Hill, Maryland when his mother cried “Michael Jackson is dead”. Second to Michael Jackson is late Rapper Notorious B.I.G. who LaPret calls his second biggest musical influence.
On Monday (June 22, 2009) the rapper dedicated a tribute video to the victims of the WMATA Metro Train Crash that took place in North East, Washington, D.C. from which LaPret is a native and current resident. The video has attained more than 3000 views and growing.
