Spinal instrumentation method (specifically a method uses spinal fusion devices) is basically used for treating Pott disease. Pott disease or Pott's disease is a form of tuberculosis affecting several tissues outside the lungs and affects the spine that lead to tuberculosis arthritis of the intervertebral joints.
