Press release from: Gather Restaurant

Enjoying fireworks over the Caloosahatchee where it meets the Gulf is a fitting way to see 2017 give way to bigger and better things in the year to come, and Gather offers a great place to do it. On Sunday, Dec. 31, arrive by boat or car – or plan to stay the night at the beautiful Westin hotel at Tarpon Point Marina – for drink specials, bottle service, food and fireworks. DJ German Garcia pumps up the beat starting at 8 p.m. Champagne and canapés will be served from 11 p.m. to midnight.

In the meantime, mark your calendars for culinary and cocktail adventures all month long. Tarpon Point’s cool new waterfront gastrobar is rolling out plenty of treats in time for the holiday season.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, join your friends at the monthly Sundown Stroll at the Tarpon Point Marina Shops between 4:30 and 8 p.m. The theme is “Eat, drink and be festive,” featuring lots of holiday treats including arts and crafts for the kids, face painting and a snow machine. Don your choicest threads for the ugly sweater contest, enjoy drinks, food and music. Take pictures with Mrs. Claus and learn about this month’s charity, Florida Runs for the Fallen.

Every Friday, DJ German returns to the turntable to lay down a South Beach club vibe from 8 p.m. to midnight. One Saturday a month, he’ll bring back “Mister Trombone” Wayne Perry with his smooth brand of upbeat funk and the tribal-infused hand percussion stylings of Ryan Anthony. Admission is free to sample this potion of power, spontaneity and funk while indulging in the craft cocktails and nibbles menu offerings that have garnered Gather a devoted crowd since its recent opening in October.

Every Sunday from 6 – 10 p.m. is Industry Sunday. Restaurant and hospitality folks will get a small bite from the Nibbles menu with any drink order. Night owls enjoy Reverse Happy Hour 10 p.m.-midnight on Friday and Saturday and then can sleep in because on Sundays, breakfast is served until 3 p.m. Regular happy hour is every Tuesday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m., offering $5 craft beer, $5 house wine, $5 call liquors and $8 craft cocktails. Wine Wednesday offers half price on bottles $50 and under starting at 4 p.m.

Now is the time to plan your Christmas Eve dinner at Gather. So that Gather’s staff may spend the holiday with their families, last seating availability will be between 4:30-5 p.m., the perfect time to take in that famous Southwest Florida sunset. Gather is closed on Christmas Day.

Gather is the place to do just that – come together with friends, relatives and out-of-town guests or make new friends united in food, drink and tasty tunes. It offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, a full bar and even picnic lunches for boaters.

Gather has become popular for its inventive casual cuisine, craft cocktails and nibbles such as the crispy duck wings with tropical fruit-chipotle glaze, cumin grilled lamb lollipop with yogurt eggplant tzatziki, charcuterie, seared octopus, spicy lime and cilantro shrimp or Marta’s beef empanadas. Daily features and a full dinner menu are also served, including the popular lamb meatball spaghetti, the roasted porcini risotto, smoked salmon tartine and sous vide veal chop.

Updates on all upcoming events are available at www.facebook.com/gathercape and the menu and hours are available at www.gathercape.com.

Gather at Tarpon Point Marina is the new waterfront dining concept from the partners at HGH LLC, who brought Fathoms Restaurant & Bar and The French Press to Cape Harbour Marina in Cape Coral, and also developed Black Salt Catering.
