NPE 2009 Preview
S+S Inspection will be unveiling an important new product for the plastics recycling industry on Booth 4035 in the South Hall at NPE 2009 in Chicago. Although the new machine will stay under wraps until 22nd June, it will change the face of plastics recycling technology using new, innovative technology. In addition, S+S will be showing the latest Safemag/Protector configuration which promises to minimize molding machine downtime by removing magnetic and non-magnetic contamination from feedstock. In addition to improving feedstock quality, the new system significantly reduces the amount of material removed with the contamination. The first stage involves no loss of material as the SAFEMAG collects all the magnetic contaminant on the magnetic rods, which are easily and quickly cleaned. Because the level of contamination has been reduced, the PROTECTOR responds less frequently reducing the loss of material.
Installed immediately above the material infeed of extruders, injection molding or blow molding machines the MFE Primus separator removes both metallic and non-metallic contamination from the feedstock. Available in four sizes with a choice of two or four channel controllers, the MFE separator brings maximum reliability and flexibility to feedstock inspection and machine protection.
