Andreas Schierenbeck a senior executive with nearly 20 years of experience in guiding companies to market success and profitability chaired the most significant sessions at the European Future Energy Forum in Bilbao last week.

Addressing an audience of over hundred political, academic, business and NGO leaders, Andreas Schierenbeck, CEO of the Siemens Building Technologies Division (BT), was opening speaker and chair of the “Green Building” as well as the “Energy Efficiency in Commercial & Public Spaces” sessions at the European Future Energy Forum in Bilbao held in Bilbao on June 9-11, 2009.

Especially in his role as chair Schierenbeck illustrated the prevalence and importance of energy efficiency in addressing the energy issues we face today.
The vast majority of participants appreciated his contribution as committed, substantial, far sighted, knowledgeable and encouraging.
Among other things, he pointed out: "Worldwide energy consumption is expected to nearly double by 2025. The results are constant rising energy prices, the need for more efficient power generation, transportation, distribution, consumption, and energy saving strategies. In this regard, solutions for energy efficiency are one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to address high energy prices, increasing energy demand, and even climate change."

As graduate engineer Schierenbeck has a solid background in electrical engineering as well as excellent technical experience. Currently Schierenbeck is serving as CEO and global entrepreneur for the Business Unit Building Automation a $ 3 Billion business for energy efficiency.

Promoting individuals in public.
