Hitch Buddy Has Been Launched

Garrett Kendrick, an inventor from Tehachapi, California announced that he has launched his innovative new product, Hitch Buddy, as a Kickstarter project. This patent-pending device is capable of streaming live video to a user's smartphone, tablet, or computer using a WiFi network it creates.  Mr. Kendrick created the device to act as an aid in backing up to a trailer for hitching and for backing up a trailer safely. He said, "I wasn't happy with the options on the market. I didn't want to permanently install a camera or pay for an expensive wireless camera and receiver. Why not make use of something that most people already possess... a smartphone."

After many hours of product design, development, and testing, the Hitch Buddy is ready for launch. Mr. Kendrick chose to launch the product on Kickstarter because of the success he had with a prior product, GPS AdventureBox. With that project, he brought in nearly $40,000 in just 30 days, exceeding his project goal of only $5,000. He was able to fulfill all of the backer rewards on time and was featured in many online publications such as Wired and TechCrunch and has an entire chapter dedicated to his project in The Kickstarter's Guide to the Galaxy.
