Gatik Business Solutions, a Bangalore based company that provides IT and technology solutions for business has tied up with Government of Kerala to implement school management system for government schools, free of cost. Under this project, Gatik will implement their flagship education management software, Gatik SMS (Smart-school Management System) to enable easy management and tracking of all aspects of the school. This new non-profit initiative from Gatik helps government schools to enjoy the facilities and efficiencies of new technologies, without any investment.

GatikSMS is a next generation education management system which has facilities like student management, academics and result management, student safety and attendance, transport & hostel management and library management among others. With GatikSMS, parents can keep a track of their children’s academic activities, performances, attendances etc from their mobile phone. GatikSMS also helps school and parents to track the students’ pick-up, drop and location by school bus.

The project was launched by Hibi Eden MLA, in Government Girls High school, Ernakulam, on 17th November. Lauding the efforts of Gatik in providing free technology solutions to government schools, he said “It is heartening to see companies like Gatik coming forward to give back to society.”

This will surely help in monitoring the school activities and students safety in a better way.”
