Paragon Introduces Cone-10, 120-Volt Kiln
The Caldera XL fires to cone 10 on 120 volts.
The Caldera XL comes with a digital temperature controller; the switch-operated Caldera XL-KS has the new Autocone Kiln Sitter manufactured by the Orton Ceramic Foundation. Both kilns are 7 1/2” square x 9” deep inside and made with 3” thick insulating firebricks.
“We made these kilns for testing glazes and glaze application ideas before running production quantities in a larger kiln,” said John S. Hohenshelt, company president.
Paragon Industries, L.P. manufactures kilns and furnaces for ceramics, pottery, glass fusing, heat-treating, and knife making. Paragon kilns are made in America. The company was founded in 1948.

The new Paragon Ovation-1013 digital glass fusing and slumping kiln is designed to fire rapidly. The 6.4 cubic foot oval kiln loads from the top. It is 13” deep to accommodate glass slumping molds.
The kiln heats from the top and sidewalls. The firebrick lid is 3” thick and includes two counter-balance springs. Included with the kiln are two 18” tall stands.

Paragon Introduces New Xpress-KM Series Knife Making Furnaces
Paragon Industries has just introduced the Xpress-KM series knife making furnaces, which are made in Mesquite, Texas. The new Xpress-KM furnaces are equipped with the Sentry Xpress 3-key digital controller. Paragon’s current KM-series, which they began manufacturing in 1986, come with the Sentry 12-key controller.
