Dr Richard Prais is the Principal Dental Surgeon at Prais Dental Care, a great dentist in East Finchley, North London. He qualified from King’s College London in 1989, and he has run a thriving and professional dental practice ever since. His particular areas of interest are for caring for nervous patients, replacing missing teeth with dental implants and cosmetic dentistry.
His first practice was in the lovely Hampstead Garden Suburb. It was based above shops and near to the famous Sherrards Bakery. After several years, he relocated the practice to Inspire Dental Health, located in the old post office. One of the treatment rooms was housed in the old strong room, and the plant room had once been the room with the safe.
After a few years, Richard managed to expand further by acquiring the larger premises next door, which had been an old petrol station and car showroom. This new location offered plenty of space and more space for extra parking, which makes it the convenient location we see today.

Cosmetic Dentistry
There are many cosmetic dentistry procedures on offer at Prais Dental Care. These include teeth straightening, teeth whitening, white fillings and veneers. Teeth straightening options include fixed traditional braces or dental aligners Invisalign and the Inman Aligner or Incognito, which are discreetly attached to the inside surface of the teeth, so are virtually invisible to the naked eye.
For teeth whitening, the practice offers two types of home whitening options and then Zoom!, which is completed in the practice for fast and effective results.
Anti-Snoring
Alongside cosmetic dentistry, the practice offers anti-snoring aids. A custom-made appliance is created to keep the patient's airways open during sleep, which can significantly reduce snoring. They offer both the Somnowell appliance, as well as the cost-effective Silensor.

After a few years, Richard relocated his practice to Inspire Dental Health in the old post office. Here, one of the treatment rooms was housed in the old strong room, and the plant room had once been the safe room. Richard definitely put his stamp on this interesting property, but when the lease expired, he grabbed the opportunity to relocate to larger premises. This was literally next door and built on the site of the old petrol station and car showroom. The new location had the added advantage of providing extra car parking spaces – helping to make your visits to us that bit easier as soon as you arrive.
