Cyber Security Company Attributes Revenue Growth to Development of Leading-Edge Technology to Meet Midmarket Security Services Demand

CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO – November 10, 2017 – eSentire, Inc., the largest pure-play Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, today announced it was named one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ awards for the third consecutive year. The Technology Fast 500 provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and energy tech companies—both public and private—in North America. eSentire ranked #247 (up 41 spots from last year), with 391% percent revenue growth from 2013 to 2016. While accelerating its growth eSentire remains committed to its industry leading service promise.

“The Deloitte 2017 North America Technology Fast 500 winners underscore the impact of technological innovation and world class customer service in driving growth, in a fiercely competitive environment,” said Sandra Shirai, vice chairman, Deloitte Consulting LLP and U.S. technology, media and telecommunications leader. “These companies are on the cutting edge and are transforming the way we do business. We are proud to acknowledge the significant accomplishments of this year’s Fast 500 winners.”

2017 Performance Highlights

Over the past year, eSentire reported strong growth across sales, client acquisition, and customer expansion. Its flagship service, eSentire Managed Detection and Response™ (eSentire MDR) is currently deployed at more than 1500 sites globally, across numerous industry verticals including legal, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and many others. eSentire MDR leverages purpose-built technology, and highly trained security analysts to detect, investigate and rapidly resolve cyber threats in customers’ internal and cloud environments before they become business-impacting events.

In August of this year, eSentire announced a sizeable growth equity investment from global private equity firm Warburg Pincus. eSentire will use the investment to accelerate its growth by expanding its technology services to existing clients, as well as allow the company to help more organizations in new markets mitigate the risks associated with cyberattacks.

Additional highlights include:
• Recognition by Gartner as a representative vendor in its 2017 Managed Detection and Response Market Guide.
• Numerous industry awards and accolades (including SC Awards, Branham 300, Canada’s Top 100 Small and Medium Employers, and several HFM awards).
• Continued global expansion with clients located in over 44 countries.

Overall, 2017 Technology Fast 500 companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 135 percent to 59,093 percent from 2013 to 2016, with median growth of 380 percent.

“Our ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list for the third consecutive year, proving our stronghold in the cybersecurity space, and our unwavering commitment to develop industry leading technologies and exceptional service delivery,” said J.Paul Haynes, eSentire CEO. “Our leadership position in the MDR space, combined with our recent growth equity investment from Warburg Pincus, will allow us to further propel our growth trajectory, while continuing to expand and serve the midmarket’s cybersecurity demand and needs. We are honored to be recognized on this prestigious list once again.”
