iStorage datAshur® PRO USB 3.0 receives yet another government security certificate - Netherlands ‘Departementaal Vertrouwelijk’ (restricted) certification.

(London, Nov 2017), iStorage’s datAshur PRO, PIN authenticated, hardware encrypted USB 3.0 flash drive has received the “Departementaal Vertrouwelijk” (restricted) accreditation, which considers the processing of sensitive information within the Dutch Government with regards to the Information Security Code – Special Information, meaning that employees from all kinds of Government departments can now choose the datAshur PRO from a standard list, after passing rigorous tests and meeting requirements in the processing of confidential information.

At a time when data security is high on the agenda for everyone due to the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the “Departementaal Vertrouwelijk” certification will reassure all stakeholders and government organisations around the world, of the robust level of protection offered by the datAshur PRO.

The datAshur PRO incorporates a super-speed USB 3.0 interface, with capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB. Features include an on-board keypad for authentication, which gives the flash drive ultimate protection against key-loggers. In addition, it incorporates a brute force hack defence mechanism, meaning that after 10 consecutive incorrect PIN attempts, the drive assumes it is being hacked and deletes the encryption key and locks itself, rendering all the data previously stored on the drive, as lost forever.

The drive also incorporates military grade AES-XTS 256-bit full disk hardware encryption, a read-only (write protect) feature and a user configurable timeout lock feature. All the components are covered by a super tough epoxy resin which is virtually impossible to remove without causing permanent damage to the components. All of this means the datAshur PRO is ideally positioned to secure data from unauthorised access, even when lost or stolen.
