ANA Orders Fourth Boeing 767 Freighter
a further move to strengthen cargo business

TOKYO July 29, 2005 Today the ANA Board of Directors approved the purchase of a fourth Boeing 767-300F freighter aircraft, in a move to strengthen ANA´s cargo business.

ANA took delivery of it first 767-300F in September 2002, and has two further on order for delivery by the end of January 2006. The 45 tonne capacity freighters will be used on domestic cargo services flown late at night. One such service, the Tokyo (Haneda)-Saga route, is at present served by a two daily return flights using the belly hold of a 767-300 passenger aircraft with a capacity of 10 tonnes. From January 2006, a 767-300F will ply the route on a one return journey basis.

The 767-300F aircraft will also be introduced on Nagoya (Centrair)-Saga, and Tokyo (Haneda)-Osaka (Kansai) routes from January next year. The fourth freighter will be delivered within fiscal 2006 (ended March 31, 2007) and used where demand is highest.

On July 12 this year, ANA announced its intention to sell its share in Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) and concentrate on developing cargo into its third pillar of its business along with international and domestic passenger services.
