ACTRESS MARINA STONE SET TO APPEAR IN SILVER CORD

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 11, 2009)— Actress Marina Stone is set to appear in the film SILVER CORD alongside actors Shane West, Arielle Kebbel, Eric Balfour, Val Kilmer, Ving Rhames, Lorena Rincon, Shani Rigsbee, and Bollywood superstar Shiney Ahuja. Marina is best known for her work in SAVE THE LAST DANCE 2, AMERICAN PIE PRESENTS BETA HOUSE, and can be seen in the films AMELIA starring Ewan McGregor, Richard Gere, and Hilary Swank in fall 2009. SILVER CORD is scheduled to begin shooting this summer in New Zealand.

Written, produced and directed by James Ordonez, SILVER CORD follows the story of a young man who is separated from the love of his life. To find her he has an out of body experience, but the silver cord that connects his soul with his body breaks, and he is believed to be dead. In a desperate race against time, his friends have less than 24 hours to save his soul before his body is cremated. Ordonez’s background and experience include films such as THE MISSION starring Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons, COBRA VERDE directed by Werner Herzog, CHRONICLE OF A FORETOLD DEATH directed by Francesco Rossi, NOSTROMO starring Albert Finney and Colin Firth, PROOF OF LIFE starring Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan, and more.

Additional producers include Mark Canton, Jose Antonio Ruiz Diez, Boris Damast, Ken Cord, Shani Rigsbee, Jai Khanna, Scott J.T. Frank, Sheila McCarthy, Robert Folk, Michael Shane and Anthony Romano. The film is slated for release in late 2009 or early 2010, and to be distributed theatrically nationwide.
