annoknips expands media gallery to 26 file types

Press release from: annoknips

Users of the contemporary history community annoknips can now manage 26 different file formats in their media galleries. Files can be arranged in albums according to subject.
Appetite comes with eating, as the saying goes. The members of the contemporary history community annoknips.com demonstrated this and, in addition to the existing image, video and sound file formats, they asked for a way of storing Office documents, spreadsheets, PDF files and other common file types in their galleries as well. annoknips reacted to this and now enables a total of 26 different file types to be stored.
These do not only include common image formats, but also document formats such as PDF files. The first page of a PDF file is displayed as a preview to give an immediate overview of the data content.
Members can now also offer Excel files, Access databases, PowerPoint presentations and many other formats for downloading, and with the new album function they can sort them into as many albums as they want by subject. This is particularly interesting for companies as documents can now be imported into the company history without further processing.
Provisions have also been made for file types which do not fit in the specified format: these can be saved as ZIP or RAR archives. annoknips.com gives its regular users up to 500 MB of free storage space. Users who register as managers receive additional storage space.

annoknips.com is a free platform which enables anyone to write their autobiography. By locating the entries geographically and in time users can find the stages in their lives and old friends and acquaintances once again. In addition, the biography entries document the history of the places concerned and this means that the experiences of individuals create a chronicle of streets, towns and countries. As in "real life" contemporary history as a whole is created as a puzzle from the experiences of lots of people.

Dear journal … – the continuation of a 1500 year old legend
Berlin, 27 October 2008. The history of the journal is probably as old as the history of writing – but Assyrian clay calendars from the 6th century are the first proof that people recorded daily events in characters: market prices, water levels, weather conditions and the activities of the Babylonian rulers were documented in this way. Such records were emotionless chronicles until the late Middle Ages. It was not until
