Press release from: +44 (0)1759 304200

Detectamet’s new document case is made from its unique metal and X-ray detectable polymer. It is designed to protect papers that need to be carried for use within a food process area. It includes a clipboard with a smooth writing surface and weighs only 650gram (1lb 7oz).
The generous water resistant storage compartment can hold over 100 sheets of paper or a combination of notepads, papers, forms and any other stationary. None-the-less the case is slim and will fit comfortably in a briefcase.
Whether traveling, or working on-site or in the office, users have found that Detectamet's rugged lightweight workbox combines easily carried storage, filing and a firm clipboard writing surface with a strong clip to hold documents. Markings of a 30cm (12”) ruler are inscribed at the side of the writing area. There is also a compartment to store a Detectamet Detectable Pen or Marker.
In addition to the metal and X-ray detectability this useful work tool can be readily emptied and cleaned and hygienically sterilised. The case is closed and sealed using a wrap round clip built into the solid carry handle.
“You can take it on the train or plane” says Sean Smith, Detectamet’s Chairmen” but if you take it home be mindful that all the family will be attracted to this useful practical design.”
Detectamet offers a laser engraving service to identify each case. For more information contact s.smith at us.detectamet.com

Detectamet was founded over 14 years ago, and has businesses near York in the UK and in Richmond, Virginia in the USA. The company designs, makes and supplies food production companies with more than 1000 tool designs and pieces of equipment made from plastics that are metal and X-ray detectable and from stainless steel. Food companies using these products can identify it if the plastic contaminates their food products. The contaminated food product can be ‘seen’ and rejected using the standard detection equipment used by the food industry. Detectamet products are supplied in nearly 100 countries around the world and to satisfy its worldwide market the company moved in April into a new warehouse and offices in the UK that are three times larger than before. The company was presented in 2015 with the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
