Induced pluripotent stem cells are mainly produced in mouse model, and from human fibroblast cells. The additional cells such as renal epithelial cells and human keratinocytes are also used to produce induced pluripotent stem cells. A variety of genes are expressed in induced pluripotent stem cells which include Oct-3/4, Sox family, Klf family, Myc family, Nanog, Lin28, and Glis1.
