Datacor, Inc. Awarded Software Contract by Nease Corp.

04-21-2009 01:02 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Datacor, Inc.

Datacor, Inc., a major developer and vendor of ERP software solutions for process manufacturers including chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food specialties, has been awarded a contract by specialty chemical manufacturer Nease Corp. to optimize their business operations. Datacor’s ERP software will provide increased integration and functionality for more efficient business management.

The Nease software contract utilizes Datacor’s industry specific software, Chempax, a fully integrated manufacturing, logistics, MRP, quality control, regulatory, and financial solution designed specifically for chemical manufacturers. With features such as bar coding and automated document distribution, Chempax increases data accuracy and takes steps out of operational processes to realize full efficiency and maximize profitability. Improving day to day operations frees up resources to deliver maximum customer service and achieve manufacturing excellence. Chempax’s process industry focus delivers a comprehensive and reasonably priced software solution that is easy to learn, implement, and maintain.

“This new contract adds Nease Corp. to our list of specialty chemical manufacturers throughout the country,” said Datacor President Sean W. O’Donnell. “Nease is a well-run company with a long history in industrial organic chemicals and we are proud they have chosen Datacor’s Chempax.” Nease traces its lineage back to 1959 in the hydratropes and specialty chemicals industry.

“Datacor understands our industry and their Chempax software fits our business size and the complexity of our operations. They offer years of experience and industry specific focus: Datacor speaks our language and understands what we are looking for in an ERP system,” said Nease President David Iden. “We chose Chempax because it has the fire power we need without the overwhelming complexity and additional modifications of big, generic software packages. It is also affordable for medium-sized companies.”

Nease had operated since 1998 with a software application that had not been updated since the date of purchase. The legacy system had outgrown its efficiencies, was difficult to learn, lacked transparency, and was loaded with issues that slowed down effectiveness. Iden was looking for a new ERP system that was user-friendly, more integrated, and reduced mistakes and duplications.

“We anticipate that Chempax will enable us to operate more efficiently, help us avoid adding staff as our business grows, and be instrumental in managing our costs,” said Iden. “We want to keep the focus on serving our customers, not on dealing with software issues. Our new Chempax ERP software will support us so we can be there for our customers.”

“Datacor designed Chempax from the ground up to be specific to the chemical process industry,” O’Donnell said. “In addition, Chempax is user definable for the idiosyncrasies of process manufacturers. Our goal is to provide the process industry with an off-the-shelf custom software package that can be user customized to meet the particular needs and requirements of each company. Nease Corp. fits very well within our customer profile.”
