Tree Top Licenses Intentia Enterprise Solution to Better Align its Technology Infrastructure with Corporate Strategy

Orlando, Fla. And Stockholm, Sweden, April 11, 2006 - Intentia, a global enterprise solutions provider for the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries, announced today that Tree Top Inc. recently licensed a comprehensive set of Movex software solutions.

A cooperative of nearly 1,500 growers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, Tree Top licensed the Intentia Application Suite, planning tools, eSales, sales and marketing and plant maintenance applications.

"Our business had evolved to a point where we needed to upgrade our core business processes and the technology supporting the processes," said Kent Draney, chief information officer at Tree Top. "We chose Movex because it will help us improve productivity and increase efficiencies throughout our organization."

Tree Top realized Movex was a good fit for its technology upgrade, in large part because of the solution´s extensive functionality for food and beverage manufacturing. But company leaders pondered how to gradually move from legacy software to the powerful new solution. Questions remained as to which applications were to migrate first and which would provide the most immediate value.

Intentia used its Opportunity Analyzer (OA) decision support software to help Tree Top fit the implementation plan to business needs. OA is designed to align IT with corporate goals. A joint team of Intentia and Tree Top staff mapped the business into the OA tool. This involved such tasks as allocating labor to various processes, for example, how much time it takes to create a monthly forecast.

The result was a list of 35 best practices, each of which was evaluated in terms of the impact it made on the organization´s key performance indicators (KPI´s). From this, Tree Top can develop a phased implementation plan that will have maximum impact.

"OA is a tool that integrates real financial data and process improvement ideas to create performance indicators that will help drive the business," said Draney. "We were able to document why certain KPI´s and best practices would yield the most powerful immediate and measurable business results."
