Abstract
Global peach and nectarine market revenue amounted to 22,419 million USD in 2015, declining by -10.5% against the previous year level. Overall, global peach and nectarine market continues to undergo a measured decline: the market value decreased at an average annual rate of -0.2% from 2007 to 2015. This trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008, when the market revenue increased by +20% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the global peach and nectarine market attained its maximum revenue of 29,462 million USD in 2013. From 2014 to the end of the period under review, the total peach and nectarine market revenue failed to regain its former peak level.

The harvested area indicated a small contraction over the period under review, declining by an average annual rate of -0.3% from 2007 to 2015. This trend pattern was relatively stable throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the total peach and nectarine harvested area peaked in 2007, declining in the following year. From 2008 to 2015, the total peach and nectarine harvested area fluctuated at lower levels.

The global average peach and nectarine yield amounted to 155 thousand hg/ha in 2015, rising by 1.6% from the previous year figure. The yield figures recorded an upward trend over the period under review, with a compound annual growth rate standing at +2.9% from 2007 to 2015. However, the yield levels displayed some little fluctuations over the recent years. The highest peach and nectarine yields were recorded in 2015. Albeit an intensification of modern agricultural technics use, the future yield figures subject to a substantional risk of adverse weather conditions.
