Torrance, CA. – Anchor Audio, the leading manufacturer of portable sound and public address systems, has defied recent economic trends by expanding its work force with the hires of three new professionals in key company roles. Mike Thompson, Lori Varela, and Hazel Huertas join the Anchor Audio team and bring along with them over 50 years of experience. Anchor Audio is also proud to announce the promotion of Ralph Maldonado from Network Administrator to Chief Information Officer. “The addition of these 3 new team members as well as the promotion of Ralph will support us as our company continues to grow and succeed in the portable audio industry,” says Debbie Lombard, VP of Marketing.
Mike Thompson steps into an engineering position that will allow him to fully utilize his 30+ years of speaker and electronics expertise and help continue the quality reputation of Anchor Audio sound systems. Lori Varela has worked for manufacturers in southern California for over 10 years and brings her vast knowledge of electronic parts purchasing to Anchor Audio where she will quickly make an impact. Hazel Huertas has been working with numbers for 12 years and joins Anchor Audio eager to contribute to the talented accounting department. Ralph Maldonado has worked with Anchor Audio for 7 years as the companies Network Administrator. His new role as Chief Information Officer will allow him to take on more responsibility as he over sees the entire IT department of Anchor Audio.
